THE NEW YORK BAKERS was established by a home bread baker for home bread bakers. Our goal is to provide hobbyist bakers everywhere with top quality, hard-to-find ingredients, supplies and equipment, in sensible quanti- ties and at reasonable prices. To do that, we buy in bulk from commercial distributors and repack- age those same products you can buy at retail -- and some you can't -- into smaller, consumer-friendly sizes. Our packaging may not look pretty, but the contents are the real deal. We und-derstand that our credibility and integrity are on the line with every order we ship, and we're in thisfor the long haul. Here are a few of the things that set us apart: > You won't find flours that contain bromates or other industrial conditioners. > We won't sell you overpriced prepackaged mixes that reflect our taste preferences, not yours. We'd rather sell you the ingredients, give you the recipes, and let you make something that's uniquely yours. > We give our sourdough starter away. The airborne yeasts and bacteria that turn dough sour are free, so why should we charge for them? Over time, we'd like to build a Starter Exchange that will collect cultures from all over the world and give them away to any- one who asks, at no charge. > We source our NYB Natural products from certified organic pro- ducers and millers. > We guarantee everything we sell. We won't sell, rent, share, lend or otherwise disclose your information to third parties without your consent. However, we do reserve the right to email you from time to time with news or information that we think and hope you'll find useful. If you have any questions, please contact us. Guarantee. Everything we sell is guaranteed to be as promised. If for any reason you're not satisfied, let us know within 30 days of receipt and we'll refund the full purchase price, plus tax and shipping. Please contact us first to discuss the problem and we'll send a prepaid shipping label for the returned merchandise. All refunds will be processed through PayPal. Notwithstanding our guarantee, we will not accept returns with- out prior authorization. Payment. At present, we transact all of our business through PayPal. As our business grows, we plan to expand the number of payment choices available to our customers. Shipping. We ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail, whichever is least expensive. The rates we quote are based on distance and the shipping weight of your order. Please note that there is an additional surcharge for customers in Alaska and Hawaii, and that we use USPS exclusively to those states. We do not ship to non-U.S. addresses. We recognize that shipping costs are a significant hidden cost factor in online commerce, and we're committed to keeping them as low as possible. As we are a young enterprise, inevitably there will be glitches and there may be backorders. That said, we promise to get all non-backordered goods out the door and on the road within 3 business days of receiving your order. Our service goal is to fulfill and ship within 24 hours.
